Hi Everyone.
Sorry there haven't been any posts for a while. Mommy's computer is broken and we took it to the computer store on Friday. She should have it back next week. So, I'll be back soon with more to tell you about me.
Love,
Avi

I know you've been axiously waiting for an update on my garden. My flowers are getting bigger! When I stand beside them, they come up to my bellybutton.
Yesterday we tied the plants to some sticks so they don't fall over when they get bigger. Mommy tells me this is called "staking." Here I am trying to tie one of the strings. It was hard to tie the knots. Stay tuned. These flowers are growing lots every day.

I told the buses it was time for a meeting. They didn't spread the news around the playroom very well so the 3:00 meeting started a little late. I had to tidy the meeting room then round everyone up. Mommy had to get a couple of buses out of her car. I ran the meeting while Mommy took notes.
BUS MEETING MINUTES
43 buses in attendance
1 bus missing due to injuries
Meeting called to order at 3:20 PM.
Surfer Bus did a very informative presentation on organic fuel. He presented the advantages of switching to this fuel and handed out samples to everyone. The London Bus Triplets asked where they can get more organic fuel if they like the sample. Surfer Bus replied that his cousin Filmore sells it in Radiator Springs.
Avi wants all the buses to have the same hubcaps. The buses took a vote: Agree: 3 buses; Disagree: 40 buses
Avi asked if all the buses were happy with their living conditions. China Coach lodged an abuse complaint and said that it looks like his dents sustained yesterday will be permanent. He has however had a lot of care and attention from Avi so he's confident that he'll be feeling much better soon. Woss was extremely pleased with his accommodations -- he gets to sleep in Avi's bed every night. General concensus is that Avi's playroom is a great place to live.
The meeting ended with an enthusiastic round of "Wheels on the Bus."
Meeting adjorned at 3:35 PM.

Yesterday was my very first swimming lesson on my own. Mommy and I have been taking swimming lessons together since I was a baby. Now I'm three years old and can go for swimming lessons on my own. Here I am with my teacher Alicia. She taught me lots of fun stuff.
Blowing bubbles.
Swimming with a pool noodle.
Floating on my back.
Swimming on my front with lots of big kicks.

Happy Canada Day! Mommy, Daddy and I spent a fun afternoon at the Steveston Salmon Festival. There was so much to see and do that we didn't have a chance to check everything out. We watched jugglers, played at the playground and watched the big kids in the skateboard park. The thing I liked the most though was watching the Belt Sander Drag Races. I insisted that we spend most of our time there. In case you don't know what a belt sander is, here's a photo of one of the racers from last year...
I saw all kinds of sanders. Many were dressed up as cars and trucks but there were a couple of boats and even a bumble bee too. All of them were really fast! It was a great way to spend the afternoon.
