New Glasses

I got new glasses today because I was having trouble seeing stuff up close. Mommy and I went to the glasses store a couple weeks ago and I tried on hundreds of frames. Here are some of the ones I liked best.

These are the frames Mommy and I finally agreed on. My new glasses are special, they're called bifocals. They have two lenses in one. I use the lower lens to read and write and the upper lens to see far away stuff. Reading is much easier now.

Swiffer

Since I turned 5 years old, Mommy says I've become a really good helper. Today I felt like washing the floor. I have my own rubber gloves and my own Swiffer.

See how fast my arms are scrubbing? I really made the floor clean and shiney!

Thrill Seeker

Mommy, Daddy and I went to the PNE today. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! This year I'm over 42" so I don't have to stay on all the baby rides. I still like the baby rides but the medium-size-kid rides are way more fun! I'm not scared of anything and really like the spinny rides and roller coaster! Mommy gets queezy really fast so Daddy came on all the rides with me.

My first ride of the day, the Scrambler.

Next was something much tamer, the Honeybee Express.

The SuperSlide was fun but I wish there was an escalator to take me to the top.

Helicopter ride.

Mini-Hellevator. I wasn't scared at all.

The Flume.

Soaking wet and feeling refreshed and cool after the Flume.

The Wave Swinger - Do you see me? I'm on the outside on the very right size (orange shirt and red hat). I think Mommy was scared watching me. I loved it!

Kettle Creek Mine Coaster - a super long wait but super fun!

Spinning Dragon - we span ours really fast!

The Elephant Ride.

KC's Raceway - still fun even though I know I'm not really driving.

The Octopus.

These are just a few of the rides I went on. Besides the rides, we saw a logging show, looked at the animals (baby chicks are SO cute and soft) and I also saw inside a real tank and sat in a jet cockpit. I really liked that too.

We spent the entire day at the PNE so by 7:00 pm I was too tired to walk anymore. Before we caught the bus home, Mommy decided it was time to have dinner. We left the fair to look for a good Italian restaurant where there was something that everyone likes to eat. I was too tired to walk anymore so Daddy had to carry me.

After a lot of walking we did find a yummy place called Felicia's and I hate a huge plate of noodles and the owner gave me ice cream and candy for dessert. I want to eat THERE all the time now. Mommy and Daddy really liked their dinner too so we'll probably go back.

I can't wait until next year when I hope to be over 48" so I can go on all the big-kid rides!
