Riding the New Canada Line

Yesterday Mommy, Grandpa, Jacob, Aunty Wendy and I rode the new Skytrain. It's called the Canada Line and runs under Grandpa's house.

The train was pretty busy so Jacob and I had to stand. It was hard to see out the windows and Mommy had to lift me up for a better view.

First we rode the Canada Line to the airport. There is a new observation deck there that was kinda fun. We saw airplanes taking off and landing, looked through some binoculars and played with the lights and buttons on a model of the airport. I also found a computer game that lets you pilot a plane. I tried to fly to Kamloops where Uncle Brian lives but couldn't land the plane when I got there.

After the airport we rode to Richmond for a visit to Daiso and a snack. Aunty Wendy bought everyone a Beard Papa treat. I liked the chocolate on the outside but not the custard inside the puff. Jacob liked the whole thing. Daiso was fun because Mommy found me a pair of real binoculars! They'll be great when I dress up like Inspector Gadget.

After Daiso, it was time to go home. Jacob was tired and our transfers were used up. The best part after a long adventure was that the train dropped us off right across the street from Grandpa's house so we didn't have to walk very far to get home.

He Shoots, He Scores

This Fall, I'm playing soccer. My team is named the Caterpillars. Don't I look professional in my uniform?

I love soccer. My best buddies, Thomas, Matthew and Luke are on my team as well as some of the kids who went to preschool with me.

Today was our first game and practice and it was so much fun. We did lots of running, did lots and lots of fun drills then took a snack break. It was Mommy's turn to bring the snacks and she told me that the first snack break is always oranges - yuk! I decided to wait for the second snack break because I asked if we could have Timbits and apple juice.

For our first game, I hustled a lot. Just before the game ended, I scored a goal! Mommy cheered a lot for me. I like hearing people cheer for me.

Finally it was time for the after-game snack. Did you know I can fit two Timbits in my mouth at the same time? Here I am with some of my team mates on the bench. They like Timbits too.

Thoughts on Eating

My Best Friend

My best friend at school is Thomas. We went to preschool together and now we are in the same Kindergarten class. Sometimes I wish we were brothers so we can spend more time together.

Every Tuesday morning, Thomas and I have a play date before school. Usually we play super heros and cars but yesterday we went camping.

First Day of School

Today is the first day of school. I didn't have real school today. Mommy and I just went to meet my teacher, Ms. Skinner, see my classroom and check that I'm signed-up for the right class.

It was really hard to get there on time. I had to be up at 7:15 to get there by 8:00. Mommy set TWO alarm clocks for me because she knows that I don't get up very easily. Here I am with both alarm clocks ringing.

Mommy says she tried to wake me up gently but finally had to jiggle me to get me to open my eyes.

Even though there wasn't much time, I HAVE to have a shower in the morning. I like to to stand in the warm water for a long, long time to get warmed up.

Next was a bit of breakfast. Mommy let me have sweet cereal this morning without the healthy stuff mixed in. That was a treat!

Then we left the house at the same time as Daddy. I'm usually still sleeping when Daddy leaves for work.

Here I am outside my school.

When we went into the school, we found Ms. Skinner in her classroom. I was a little nervous to go inside at first but she was very nice and super friendly so I decided it would be OK. I checked out the Kindergarten room while Mommy checked that I was registered in the right class then signed-up for a time when Ms. Skinner can come to our house for a visit.

After I had checked everything in the room and read a book with Mommy, we went outside to play in the playground. I taught Mommy how to climb up the space net.

Soon my friends were also done meeting Ms. Skinner and they joined me outside to play. It was a really fun morning.

Going to School

Tomorrow is my first day of school. I start Kindergarten. I'm pretty excited. I've already seen the classroom and met my teacher and Mommy tells me that two of my best friends, Thomas and Matthew, will be in the same class as me. Since I sometimes sleep in until 10:00 in the morning, I think the hard part will be getting there by 8:00 AM.

Avi's Restaurant

Hey Uncle Hanson! I hear you've got your own restaurant, just like me! My restaurant serves all my favourite foods - no veggies!!!. What kind of food to you serve? If you decide that you don't want your restaurant any more, you can always come and work for me.
