I got new glasses today because I was having trouble seeing stuff up close. Mommy and I went to the glasses store a couple weeks ago and I tried on hundreds of frames. Here are some of the ones I liked best.
Since I turned 5 years old, Mommy says I've become a really good helper. Today I felt like washing the floor. I have my own rubber gloves and my own Swiffer.

Mommy, Daddy and I went to the PNE today. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! This year I'm over 42" so I don't have to stay on all the baby rides. I still like the baby rides but the medium-size-kid rides are way more fun! I'm not scared of anything and really like the spinny rides and roller coaster! Mommy gets queezy really fast so Daddy came on all the rides with me.
Uncle Wasson and Aunty Sandy invited me for dinner last night. When I was really small, I used to visit them all the time. They have a cupboard where they used keep some toys for me and last night I had to checked it out. Everything was still there, even the silly caps Sandy and I used to wear!
Mommy and I have had a lot of fun this summer. We've been out doing lots of things. Sometimes though, it's nice to just stay home and relax.
The annual Quan Picnic at Stanley Park was today. Mommy says that everyone there is part of my family. There are so many people but I have no idea how they know me. The adults do a lot of talking and eating and the kids play. After most of the other kids left, I had nothing to do so Uncle Nelson, Jessica and Uncle Wasson played soccer with me while Mommy talked some more.

Daddy golfed today so Mommy took me to the train park in Burnaby.
I love riding the trains around the park. Today there was a steamie as well as two electric trains. I think the steamie is my favourite.
I got a scooter not too long ago but I'm not very good at riding it. I've been practicing though. Sometimes when Daddy's not home for dinner, Mommy and I go to the sushi restaurant. I ride my scooter there. We always go this way so I can practice riding up and down the sidewalk. Mommy likes it because there are no cars here. I like it because there is a good downhill part. I'm getting better and better each time we go out.
Today is Father's Day and my Daddy is out golfing with Luke and Thomas' dads. Since Daddy is gone this morning, Mommy and I decided to serve Daddy his breakfast last night.
I LOVE Father's Day because it's the one time in the year that I'm allowed to have breakfast in bed. It's my gift to Daddy. When Daddy came home from work last night, I tucked him into bed, served him a glass of wine and made sure he had something interesting to read. Then I went downstairs to help Mommy make omelettes, fruit salad and croissants.
I love hanging around after school to play with my friends. This is Thomas and Luke. Luke is tall, he's the only one of us who can touch the ground.
Mommy and I went to the garden centre to buy some flowers for the garden. Here's our shopping cart. I think Mommy went a little crazy.
Yesterday was my official graduation from preschool. I got a certificate and everything!
Mommy tells me that there will be many more graduation ceremonies. I liked it so now I can't wait to graduate from Kindergarten.
This spring, I've been playing Blast Ball with my friend Thomas. Our team is called the Orange Crush-Exploders. Today was our last game.
Blast Ball is a lot of fun! I really like hitting the ball, running the bases after the game and all the cheering and high-5s. Even though we aren't supposed to, we do a lot of wrestling while waiting for our turn to hit and catch and I think that's really fun too.
But, of all the things we do at Blast Ball, I think all my friends will agree, that snack time after the game is the best - especially when someone brings Fruit Sensations or Timbits!
Mommy and I went to Kits Beach with our friends Aunty Melodie and Marissa today. It was so warm and relaxing playing at the beach. Marissa and I played in the sand, ate lunch and looked for treasure. Marissa taught me about sea glass and I found some to start a collection of my own.

I had a playdate at my friend Matthew's house today. Matthew is my first preschool friend and the person who taught me about super heros.
Olivia is Matthew's older sister. She's pretty cool. For a girl, she knows a lot about super heros and can totally keep up with Matthew and me.

The monkey bars at the park near my cousin Jacob's house are low enough for me to reach. For a long time now, I've really wanted to learn how to swing on them. I did a lot of tries today but it's really hard work!
Every Saturday, after my Blast Ball game, Mommy lets me play at the park with my friend Thomas. We LOVE trying to climb the big trees in the park. Unfortunately, we don't really know how.
Thomas and I have been working on it for weeks and today, with a few hints from Mommy, I think I figured it out!
My piano lessons are finished for the year and I have a holiday from piano lessons over the summer. Perhaps I'll learn to play the cello next.
Last night I got a special surprise. A limousine ride!
It's pretty roomy inside. There are stars in the roof and the bar lights up - I think that's pretty cool.
Just right for relaxing and perhaps a nap.
Yesterday my preschool took a field trip to Stanley Park. I became a Nature Detective and learned all about the forest.

Here I am investigating a Douglas Fir tree. I'm trying to see if there is something interesting about the bark. I also investigated other kinds of trees, the ground and some green stuff growing on a fence called lichen. I liked the lichen the best.
Our forest leader, Jonanne, taught us how new trees and plants grow out of old, dead stuff. She gave each of us a bowl to gather stuff to make nutritious soil soup. I put leaves, twigs, dirt and bark in my bowl.
Here I am feeding my soil soup to a little tree. I hope he likes it. It's very nutritious and should help him grow big and strong.
I also learned about the animals and insects that live in the forest. While on our forest walk, Jonanne helped us find places where animals might live. We found lots of places for insects and spiders, some woodpecker holes, a bird's nest and some spots where skunks, squirrels, racoons and rabbits might live. Jonanne also taught us about tree bats. She showed us a dead one and we each touched it. It was very soft and furry on the body and dry and leathery on the wings. It was so soft that I wanted Mommy to feel it too. She didn't want to but then was glad she did.
On the way home, I sat with my girlfriend Cloe and we shared snacks.
Field trips are so much fun! I hope I get to go on another one soon.
Every month, I have homework to do for preschool. For May, I have to do a puzzle and tell my teacher why I liked doing it.
I chose a puzzle that Grandpa gave to me. It has lots of race cars on it.
There were 100 pieces in the puzzle and I did it all by myself.
All done! I liked putting together the cars and the tiny flags at the bottom of the picture.

I've been very busy getting ready for my end-of-the-year piano concert at the Academy of Music. I chose the song "Ode to Joy" because Daddy's name is Joy.

Do you like my red bow-tie? Don't I look like tabinian-tabintian (the last number in the universe) dollars? My teacher, Miss Rebecca, says it's very important to look your best for a concert. You can't wear jeans or sweatpants.
